Document Description
DWR staff will remove sediment from the culverts adjacent to the lower intake roadways along both the primary and secondary side of the channel. The upstream opening of the culvert will also be cleared by hand tools or a backhoe if necessary, pushing the material into the v-ditch. High pressure raw water will be injected towards the downstream direction until culvert is clear of sediment and obstructions. Equipment staging will be on established roads. All work is within DWR right of way.

The State Water Project provides significant and critical services to many Californians. This project is exempt because it involves routine maintenance activities. The Categorical Exemption Class 1 will be used for CEQA compliance as this activity will be implemented without any environmental impacts.
