Document Description
The project proposes to replace approximately 23,551 sq ft of Bermuda Grass with Decomposed Granite (DG) within the major event lawn. In addition, the project would add approximately 1,860 sq ft of DG to the existing fire road northeast of the stage placement. The purpose of the change in material in this area is to minimize damages from special event stage placement and to return the park to general park use more quickly. This will enhance the visitor experience as well as dictate a stage placement area, further assisting stakeholders holding events with stage placement. During the excavation period, the Angeles District Cultural Resource Program will conduct an exploratory excavation in the same area.
