Document Description
Clear Lake State Park Interpretative Association, a cooperative association operating at Clear Lake State Park, will install new benches along trails and at scenic viewpoints within Clear Lake State Park to provide park visitors with high-quality outdoor experiences and accessibility to better views from within the park. The five (5) ADA compliant benches will be located near exisiting accessible route of travel to ADA parking near Kelsey Slough and will: • Excavate, as needed, to level a 30-inch x 48-inch flat area and a 36-inch-wide wide route of travel; • Apply decomposed granite, compacted in lifts, onto the leveled surfaces to create an encapsulated sustainable pad surface with routes of travel at 2% slope or less; • Excavate two (2) holes 2-foot deep x 1-foot wide, insert one (1) 2-foot long, 2-inch x 2-inch square heavy galvanized metal post per hole, and backfill with concrete to set; • Attach a 72-inch long x 16-inch wide con-heart redwood bench, with a final resting elevation of 17 – 19- inches above grade.
