Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-INY-17103-R6, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) for the Little Lake Canyon Bridge Replacement project (Project). The LADWP’s Project includes the demolition of the existing Little Lake Canyon Bridge; the construction of the 24-foot-wide by 230-foot-wide replacement bridge; construction of wingwalls armored with 24-foot and 12-foot Mojave concrete blocks on the upstream and downstream side; the widening of the existing Little Lake Canyon Road by 10-feet; the installation of two-foot K-rails on each side of the newly constructed bridge; and the placement of a pre-cast concrete box culvert one-foot below the current bed of the channel.

Reasons for Exemption
ln accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, this Project is Categorically Exempt from CEQA review pursuant to Section 15302, Class 2 replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have largely the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced, including but not limited to the replacement or reconstruction of existing utility systems and/or facilities involving negligible or no expansion of capacity. The proposed Project meets the requirements of these exemptions; therefore, no further CEQA review is required.
