Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has proposed a culvert replacement in Plumas County. The project is limited to the replacement of a damaged 12” Corrugated Metal Culvert (CMP) with a 20” x 40’ CMP culvert in a Class III waterway (tributary to Yellow Creek) within a meadow. The current CMP was damaged by equipment during suppression of the 2021 Dixie Fire. An existing overflow dip will be rocked with 3" diameter rock and the existing culvert replaced. The installation will temporarily impact an approximately 300 sq. ft. area. An additional 20 cubic yards (CY) area will be permanently impacted from the increased culvert size and addition of the 3” rock. All work will be done during the dry season when no water is present. The Inside ditch will be maintained by the Permittee.
