Document Description
The project is limited to the installation of a new floating dock, gangway and landing. The proposed dock will be a 20-foot by 40-footfloating dock. The dock will consist of two (2) 4-foot by 24-foot fingers, a 6-foot by 20-foot headfloat and a 10-foot by 20-foot triangle section to deflect debris. The dock will have an aluminum frame and composite decking with encapsulated floatation. A 70-foot-long and 3-foot-wide gangway, with truss style aluminum hand rails will connect the dock to a new concrete landing. The landing will measure 4-foot by 5-foot by 1.5-foot with two (2) 4-inch HDG Pipe piles to allow the gangway to rise during flood conditions. Three (3) new 12-inch diameter steel piles at a length of 40-feet will be installed by a barge-mounted pile driver to secure the structure.
