As part of due diligence during the design phase of Embankment and Liner Raise projects on the California Aqueduct (Aqueduct), the Department of Water Resources plans to sample and test existing infrastructure along the Aqueduct for potentially Asbestos Containing Material and Lead Based Paint. The types of infrastructure to be sampled and tested include Check structures, control buildings, concrete Aqueduct liner, pipeline crossings, pumping plants, and bridges.
