The Sacramento City Unified School District plans to fully redesign and reconstruct Oak Ridge Elementary School on its existing site. All buildings would be in the northeast portion of the site; the parking lot and drop-off area would be in the southeast portion of the site; the hardcourts, play structure, and turf field would be in the west and central portion of the site; and the main driveway would extend across the southern portion of the site, providing access to the parking lot. Access to the site would be via Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on the southwest corner of the site and a second access point on Mendocino Boulevard would allow access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
