Document Description
The project is limited to the replacement of an existing gas transmission pipeline that spans an unnamed intermittent tributary to Sonoma Creek. The existing pipeline will be removed, and a new pipeline will be installed at a depth of at least six feet underneath the unnamed tributary. Existing support structures on the banks of the
channel will be removed by excavating two 8-foot-wide by 8-foot-long by 13-foot-deep holes, one on each side of the unnamed tributary. An excavator will then trench a 72-foot-long by 3-foot-wide by 13-foot-deep trench across the unnamed tributary for the new pipeline. Additionally, a hole on each side of the unnamed tributary will be
excavated to tie in the new section of pipeline to the existing pipeline, with one hole measuring 8 feet wide by 12 feet long by 7 feet deep and the other measuring 8 feet wide by 14 feet long by 7 feet deep. Once construction is completed, all the excavated areas will be covered with native material and returned to pre-construction contours.
No trees or shrubs will be removed as part of this project. Staging will occur in upland and developed agricultural areas and access will occur along existing roads.
