Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes an emergency project to repair damaged slopes and drainage facilities on State Route 99 from postmiles R1.5 to R16.0 in Stanislaus County. The project would remove debris, stabilize slopes, place rock slope protection, replace damaged drainage systems, place permanent erosions control and provide traffic control. The purpose of the project is to address the failed embankment slope and drainage facilities due to recent storm on March 29, 2023. The need of this project is to prevent and mitigate the loss or impairment of life, property, or essential public services.
