Document Description
The project proposes the installation of a kiosk to improve the interpretive opportunities at Torrey Pines SB. It is referred to as the Beach and Lagoon Interpretive Kiosk (BLIK). It would include a 10x10’ prefabricated structure, visually similar to existing park infrastructure in this area, to be purchased by the Torrey Pines Conservancy (TPC) and assembled on the existing concrete slab adjacent to the pedestrian walkway at the North Beach parking lot. Volunteers will staff the kiosk. The planned structure is a kit and can be removed and reassembled at another location if conditions such as Sea Level Rise require relocation. The structure will provide a visible focus for visitors in a high traffic area and shade for the attendants.
