Document Description
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation conducts Special Repair and Deferred Maintenance (SR/DM) projects to maintain CDCR prison facilities and to ensure unimpeded operations to perform their public safety mission. This project will involve modifications to six mental health inmate cells for suicide prevention including: replacing existing plumbing fixtures, modification of HVAC grilles and speaker ports, removal of grab bars and light fixtures and replace with ligature resistant components, replacement of existing electrical communications cover plates with security cover plates, removal of inmate-controlled light switches and adding new custody controlled light switches, installation of new security observation mirrors, and finally, addition of new treatment modules to one group therapy room and one individual therapy/interview room. Work is performed within the already developed prison property are not located within environmentally sensitive areas.

The project site is not in an environmentally sensitive area and none of the exceptions to this exemption are applicable.
