This project will advance planning of a multi-phased fuel reduction project identified as a priority project in the Humboldt County CWPP as well as other fuel reduction treatments along and adjacent to the crest of Mail Ridge, a prominent feature in southern Humboldt and northern Mendocino counties, in order to increase wildfire resilience, protect vulnerable communities, and make significant progress towards the restoration of the traditional role of low-intensity fire on the landscape.
