The Sierra Nevada Conservancy would provide funding for the Siskiyou Land Trust to complete due diligence activities to determine the feasibility and structure of the potential future acquisition of two conservation easements totaling 200 acres near the community of Mt. Shasta. Activities to be completed include acquiring appraisals and title reports, developing draft conservation easements, a draft baseline conditions report, a draft long-term management and monitoring plan, and associated acquisition documentation. The potential future conservation easements could protect the land for open space, forestry agriculture, and habitat benefits. There will be no ground or resource disturbance, and the easements will not be acquired as part of this project.
