Document Description
This proposed project involves new dam construction, existing dam structure removal (near to, but not in the same location as the new structure placement), concrete work (including shotcrete), grading of the canal bed and channel, dewatering, trench digging, pile driving, road construction, and other activities.
The project will result in impacts to 1.13 acres of giant garter snake (Thamnophis gigas) habitat and temporary impacts to 0.785 acres; the project will permanently remove 0.348 acres of giant garter snake habitat. The project is expected to result in incidental take of Giant garter snake, which is designated as a threatened species under the California Endangered Species Act (CESA). The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
