Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (EPIMS-RIV-42644-R6), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, the Project Applicant, Riverside County Transportation Department.
The Project will consist of impacts to French Valley Creek through the construction of a pedestrian bridge within French Valley Creek that will consist of an 18-foot-wide walkway and will be approximately 370 feet long and 22 feet tall from the bottom of the river channel to the top of the handrailing at its highest point. The bridge will include four spans and three single-column piers.
The Project will temporarily impact 0.47 acres and permanently impact 0.365 acres of streambed, bank, and channel. To compensate for the temporary impacts of 0.47-acres of stream bed, bank, and channel, the Project Applicant shall restore no less than 0.47 acres of in-kind streambed and associated habitat. To compensate for permanent impacts of 0.365-acres of stream bed, bank, and channel, the Project Applicant shall purchase 1.047 acres of streambed and stream-associated habitat for Rehabilitation and/or Re-establishment within Riverside County. To compensate for the remaining permanent impacts of 0.016-acres of stream bed, bank, and channel, the Project Applicant shall purchase no less 0.048 acres of Rehabilitation and/or Re-establishment stream habitat credits through Riverpark Mitigation Bank, or other CDFW- approved mitigation bank within Western Riverside County.
