Document Description
The project will be located at the intersection of Hammonton-Smartsville Road and Doolittle Drive to the east of the Linda Community and north of Beale Air Force Base in Yuba County. The project will consist of roadway rehabilitations. Specifically:
1. Constructing a right-turn lane for eastbound traffic on Hammonton-Smartsville Road; 2. Construction of a left-turn lane for westbound traffic on Hammonton-Smartsville Road; 3. Adding an acceleration lane for eastbound traffic on Hammonton-Smartsville Road; 4. Widening shoulders on either side of Hammonton-Smartsville Road; 5. Constructing a vertical curve correction to improve site distance (east of Doolittle Drive); 6. Adding a median taper area on the westbound side of Hammonton-Smartsville Road; 7. Adding a median taper area on the eastbound side of Hammonton-Smartsville Road; and 8. Adjusting signage and installing new lane markings for the new intersection. The project will also include reconstruction of existing roadside drainage and will include all appropriate best management practices for water quality as required under the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) program. The project will take place entirely within the County’s existing ROW.
