After reviewing the project and its setting, the Environmental Coordinator for the County of Tuolumne has determined that the chip seal and repairs on Tuolumne Road is categorically exempt from review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), pursuant to Section 15301(c) of the State CEQA Guidelines. The project includes the repair and maintenance of an existing roadway and involves no expansion of the existing use. None of the exceptions to the categorical exemptions provided in Section 15300.2 of the State CEQA Guidelines apply to the proposed project.
