Document Description
The project includes the replacement of an existing wooden dock, damaged in 2020 during the Petaluma River dredging operation. The project will install a low profile, floating dock, 916 sq. ft. in area, constructed of prefabricated materials. Three 16" fiberglass covered steel guide-type pilings will be driven into the river bottom, to anchor the dock. A 40' gangway will be installed from the top of bank out to the dock platform, which will be located offshore. A concrete footing will be poured to anchor the gangway to the upper bank. Two paths will be built leading down to the gangway. One will be the redefinition of a short existing path from the bam to the gangway entrance. The second path will be a five-foot wide, 40' ramp with a gradient of <5% to meet ADA standards. Upon installation of the dock, the area will be re-seeded/landscaped with native riparian and wetland plants appropriate to the site.
