Document Description
The proposed project is Request for modification of an existing use permit to allow adjustments to the total tonnage allocation of per day volume of materials accepted. This modification shall reduce the tons per day allowed of Construction and Demolition Debris (C&D) from 400 to 393.5 tons, reduce the allowed tons per day of Recyclables from 124.5 to 50 tons and increase Green Waste from 19 to 100 tons per day. This approval also allows acceptance of other types of dry waste as part of the C&D allocation and mattresses as part of the Recyclables allocation. Frequency of the green waste removed from the site for green waste accepted on Saturday will be increased from 24 hours to 48 hours. No increase to total tonnage allowed per day, hours of operation, vehicle limits or facility size. No physical modifications to the facility are proposed.

The proposed project is categorically exempt from the provisions of the CEQA Guidelines pursuant to the Provisions of Title 14 of the California Administrative Code, Section 15301(a) (Existing Facilities) because the project is an existing solid waste and recycling facility on an urbanized and developed site and the proposed modifications will be negligible with no expansion of the current use. No exceptions listed under Section 15300.2 apply. There is no reasonable possibility that the project would have a significant effect on the environment. This Notice of Exemption is filed pursuant to the provisions of Section 15300.2 apply. There is no reasonable possibility that the project would have a significant effect on the environment.
