Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Procession Code Division 10, Chapter 2, Section 26012, approved a Cannabis cultivation License. Large mixed light cannabis cultivation site (Type 2B (10,000 sq. ft.); AG_2018-0416) of no more than 10,000 sq. ft. of canopy. Per the provided site plan and cultivation and operations plan, cultivation will occur in five (5) 2,000 sq. ft. greenhouses. Immature plants will germinate in a separate 1,000 sq. ft. green house. The Applicant indicates no plans involving further development or expansion of the cultivation sites.

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is a Class 1 Categorical Exemption project. Class 1 consists of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of existing or former use. The types of “existing facilities” itemized below are not intended to be all-inclusive of the types of projects which might fall within Class 1. The project activity fits within the parameters included in CEQA Guidelines Section 15301. None of the exceptions to this exemption defined in Section 15300.2 apply.
