Document Description
The proposed Project seeks to transfer to the Banta-Carbona Irrigation District (BCID) up to 10,000 acre-feet of surplus pre-1914 Stanislaus River water held jointly by the Oakdale Irrigation District (OID) and South San Joaquin Irrigation District (SSJID). This is a pilot project and the term of the agreement would terminate on December 31, 2023. All water conveynace facilities are existing and no new construction is necessary. The transfered water would be utilized by BCID for agriculture and delivered to the existing BCID diversion point on the San Joquin River, approximately 5 miles north of the Stanislaus-San Joaquin River confluence at Vernalis.
