Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes an emergency repair of waste lines that serve the Caples Lake Maintenance Station kitchen facility, on State Route (SR) 88, at post mile 2.2, in Alpine County. The scope of work is to remove and replace all damaged waste lines under the sub-floor under the kitchen facility and to the sanitary sewer tank. All work will occur within Caltrans right of way. The purpose of the project is to replace the clogged waste lines and sanitary sewer tanks that have deteriorated beyond repair. The kitchen facility serves this remote area as its only means of providing meals for the snow removal crews and other area Field Maintenance Staff. It is imperative to keep this kitchen facility open for the snow removal operations.
