Document Description
The Project in includes the construction and operation of a photovoltaic (PV) solar facility and associated infrastructure necessary to generate 600 megawatts (MW) of renewable electric energy with up to 4,000 megawatt hours (MWh) of energy storage capacity (approximately 1,000 MW), on approximately 2,320 acres of privately owned land.
The Project will result in incidental take of 5,882 western Joshua tree (Yucca brevifola), which are protected under the WJTCA and the California Endangered Species Act. The WJTCA ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of western Joshua tree that may occur as a result of Project implementation.

The Project consists of five non-contiguous sites that are located south of the unincorporated community of Mojave, approximately 2 miles southwest of California City, 8 miles north of the unincorporated community of Rosamond, approximately 8 miles northwest of Edwards Air Force Base, and 16 miles southeast of the City of Tehachapi.
