Document Description
DWR staff will break down, fill, and repair approximately 60 areas of erosion on the California Aqueduct primary and secondary roads and embankments from MM 5.95 to MM 45.14. The erosions have been broken down with a backhoe or excavator. Staff will use native soil fill and road base to backfill the erosions and compact with sheep's foot roller. Native soil is stored at the Skinner Fish Facility stockpile location. Excavated soil will be stored at the Corral Hollow Soil Staging Area. All work is within DWR right of way.

Reasons for Exemption
The State Water Project provides significant and critical services to many Californians. This project is exempt because it involves routine maintenance activities to prevent further erosion damage to SWP facilities. This project will not result in impacts to special status species or habitat. The Categorical Exemption Class 1 will be used for CEQA compliance as this activity will be implemented without any environmental impacts.
