Document Description
The project is located on Northbound SR-241, just north of Alton Parkway in the City of Lake Forest. Caltrans proposes to remove approximately 40 feet of asphalt treated permeable base (ATPB) in lane #2, #3, and the right shoulder (depression area) and install 0.95 feet of Class 2 Aggregate base and 0.8 feet HMA at the depression area. Cold plane and replace 0.25' depth of AC for approximately 80 feet at the approach and 120 feet at the departure of the depression area on lane #3 are also being proposed. Re-stripe all sections of roadway affected by this project is also part of the scope. This Emergency District Director's Order is recommended as this work is needed to immediately restore functional use of the state facility. This repair is beyond the scope and expertise of District Maintenance crews. This emergency contract is necessary to prevent the loss or impairment of life, property, or essential public services.
