Document Description
DWR staff will clear sediment and debris from multiple culverts along primary and secondary sides of the California Aqueduct. The upstream opening of
culverts needing clearing will be cleaned with hand tools or backhoe as necessary. Materials will be pushed into the v-ditch to be spread by the road grader to
reshape the v-ditch to the original drainage specifications. Culverts will be cleaned using a truck with a fire hose connected to a three-inch water pump to
inject high pressure raw water until it is clear of obstructions. Staging will be on existing roadways and parking lots. Work is within DWR right of way.

The State Water Project provides significant and critical services to many Californians. This project is exempt because it involves routine maintenance activities.
