Document Description
The project proposes to perform an exploratory geotechnical investigation, to determine subsurface composition for proposed bridge widenings. Drilling would be performed at four locations taking approximately two weeks to complete. Mud-rotary drilling methods would be utilized for the geotechnical borings to support geotechnical sampling and the installation of instrumentation. The estimated maximum depth for boring locations 1 and 2 would be 100 feet below ground surface. The estimated maximum depth for boring locations 3 and 4 would be 150 below ground surface. The width of each borehole are typically 4 to 8 inches in diameter.
