Reasons for Exemption
The project is also eligible for the Class 32 exemption (Infill Development Projects), as it is consistent with the Campus Master Plan, proposes development that occurs within city limits on project site of no more than 5 acres, is substantially surrounded by urban uses, has no habitat value for endangered, rare, or threatened species, and would not result in significant effects relating to traffic, noise, air quality, or water quality. The project is not subject to any of the Section 15300.2 exceptions to the categorical exemptions, as the project would not damage scenic resources within a scenic highway corridor, or historic resources, the project site is not included on any list of hazardous sites, there is no reasonable possibility of a significant impact to the environment, and no significant cumulative impacts will result from the project.
