Document Description
This project will replace the domestic water heating system (DWHS) located in the University Tower basement mechanical room G670. The existing system is comprised of two 1,300 gallon tanks, which are experiencing ongoing equipment and operational failures due to age. The scope of this replacement will include demolishing and removal of eight existing boilers, pipes and two existing water heaters and tanks. The project then installs a new DWHS. The replacement system provides an instantaneous and uninterrupted supply of hot water at uniform temperature. The system also supplies water to three new heat exchangers. The improvements support patient care needs.
