Document Description
This project proposes to restore, repair, stabilize, salvage and/or clean up debris at the partially collapsed Big Barn at Sutter Buttes State Park to provide for the safety of park visitors, a meeting location and shelter during guided nature/interpretive hikes. Ideally, the remaining standing portion of the barn will be stabilized and repaired for use by park visitors and debris currently on the ground will be removed to alleviate hiding spaces for wildlife, especially rattlesnakes. If the standing portion of the barn cannot be stabilized, or if it collapses before work can be completed, a full cleanup of the site will take place, with unsalvageable materials being disposed of offsite or burned onsite.
