Document Description
Isabella Partners operates the Lake Isabella Hydroelectric Project (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission [FERC] Project No. 8377) located on the downstream toe of the United States Army Corp of Engineers’ Lake Isabella main dam. The Lake Isabella Hydroelectric Project generates energy from dam releases into the Kern River, in Kern County, California. The Proposed Project involves a FERC license amendment to the Lake Isabella Hydroelectric Project to add an additional 5-megawatt Francis turbine unit to the existing powerhouse. The existing Lake Isabella Hydroelectric Project would continue to be operated in the same manner with the addition of the new turbine. The Proposed Project does not result in flow changes to the Kern River
