Document Description
The Amendment, SWPAO #20035-A, amends SWPAO #20035 to allows for Zone 7’s Article 56 Carryover Water and Article 21 Interruptible Water to be delivered to Kern County Water Agency(KCWA) for temporary storage in the groundwater basins underlying Semitropic Water Storage District (Semitropic), a member unit of KCWA, from March 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023. The original Agreement, SWPAO #20035, executed April 15, 2021, sets forth the terms and conditions for the delivery of a portion of Zone 7’s approved State Water Project (SWP) Table A water to KCWA for storage in and later recovery from Semitropic. SWPAO #20035 allows the delivery of Zone 7’s approved SWP Table A water for temporary storage in Semitropic through December 31, 2030 and the future recovery of the stored water to Zone 7’s service area by December 31, 2035.
