Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-SBA-34500-R5, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Southern California Edison as represented by Hazem Gabr. The Project consists of the replacement of two deteriorated wood poles (Poles 2066180E and 1995936E) with new wood poles. Pole 199536E will be accessed from More Ranch Road, and Pole 2066180E will be accessed by a bicycle trail that intersects South Patterson Avenue, north of More Ranch Road and Atascadero Creek. Trucks will be used to set the new poles and remove the old poles. The new holes will be dug by a truck-mounted auger and will be adjacent to the existing pole locations. Standard excavation depths range between six to ten feet with a diameter of two to three feet. Soils removed from the new holes will be side cast onto a tarp within the work area. Once the holes are dug, the new pole will then be placed within the new hole using a boom truck and the conductors will be transferred to the new pole. The old pole will be lifted out by the boom truck and placed onto the truck to be hauled away to an approved facility. The remaining hole will be backfilled with native soil and compacted using handheld equipment. No new anchors will need to be installed; however, this area will be cleared of herbaceous species.
