Document Description
The project is limited the installation of a private boat dock with cover, gangway and landing. The proposed dock and gangway will be manufactured off-site and delivered to the nearest boat ramp. Installation of the dock will require pile driving of three (3) 12-inch steel piles at a length of 40-feet with a barge-mounted pile driver. Pile driving will be completed in one day. The dock will consist of a U-shape structure, measuring 32-feet by 24-feet with one (1) finger measuring 4- feet by 24-feet and one (1) finger measuring 8-feet by 24 and a headfloat measuring 8-feet by 24-feet. In total, the dock will cover approximately 480 square feet. The dock will have an aluminum frame and
composite decking with encapsulated floatation. The dock will also include a 24-foot by 24-foot gable roof that covers the slip, both fingers, and part of the dock.
A 3-foot by 70-foot aluminum gangway will be installed to access the dock, covering an area of approximately 210 square feet. A 3-foot by 4-foot by 1.5-foot concrete landing will be installed on the bank of the Sacramento River to anchor the gangway to shore. The landing will include two (2) 4-inch pipe piles to allow the gangway to rise during flood conditions. Minor impacts to existing rip rap and non-native
vegetation are anticipated for the installation of the concrete pad, but native trees and shrubs will not be removed.
