Document Description
The project site consists of the removal and replacement of antennas and the retention of existing antennas that will be mounted within the existing faux chimney and roof. The project has minimal impact on the surrounding area and necessary utilities are already available to the site. Currently, there are a total of six (6) antennas on the subject site. The proposed use involves removing and replacing three (3) antennas and retaining three (3) antennas, for a total of six (6) antennas, at an existing wireless communication facility located on the subject property. The new antennas would be placed in the previously entitled locations. This will result in minimal impact to the existing onsite and nearby land uses.

Reasons for Exemption
The proposed project is exempt under State CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 Existing Facilities, which is a Class 1 exemption. Class 1 exemptions, “consists of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency’s determination.” The proposed project consists of a request for approval of a Plot Plan to modify an existing unmanned wireless communication facility by removing and replacing antennas, and other associated equipment. The project would not create an expansion of the existing wireless facility.
