Document Description
The project is a mobile temporary shelter comprised of approximately fifty 1 0'x1 0' pop-up tents placed on county-owned property, adjacent to an existing county building. Temporary shower and toilet trailers will be placed on site. Several small shade structures and picnic tables may be placed on site. Minor grading on a slope of less than 10% may be required. There is existing temporary fencing on site, which may be moved; additional temporary fencing may be added.

These temporary activities are exempt under Section 15301 because they involve no or negligible expansion of the existing use. In addition, they are exempt under Section 15303, which exempts the construction of accessory structures such as garages, carports, and fences-akin to temporary tents and fencing . In addition, they are exempt under Section 15311 which includes the seasonal or temporary placement of portable restrooms and similar items. Any grading would be exempt under Section 15304 because the site is less than 10% slope. The building located at 11517 F Avenue would not be structurally modified and any new use would represent no or negligible expansion of the current use.
