Document Description
This project proposes upgrades to the heliport fire suppression and fire alarm systems to meet current building code requirements. The existing heliport is protected by an Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) system. The project changes the system piping to improve the foam discharge rate, replaces the supply line from the AFFF to the hose reel, increases the fuel take containment capacity, adds automatic fire sprinklers underneath the ramp walkway, and connects a new standpipe.

This exemption applies to the operation, repair, maintenance or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, or mechanical equipment, involving negligible or no expansion of the existing use. In addition, none of the exceptions for application of a categorical exemption apply to this project.
