The Project proposes the following modernization improvements at the existing Paradise Canyon Elementary School: construction and use of an approximately 22,000-square-foot, two-story classroom building (consisting of two wings), an additional approximately 5,600-square-foot, single-story classroom building, one modular building, and one site-built classroom building to replace 15 portable classroom buildings; renovation of 14 existing classrooms; minor improvements to library, cafeteria, and administration buildings; exterior painting; upgrade of communication systems, fire alarm system; removal of onsite trees and planting of new trees; repairs and improvements to site utilities, playground, landscaping, and pedestrian walkways; and minor parking lot improvements consisting of installation of American Disability Act (ADA) signage and assigning/painting spaces for electric vehicles. Implementation of the project would not increase the capacity of the school, nor would the attendance boundaries change.
