Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is proposing the Klamath CAPM Project, a roadway rehabilitation project on U.S. Highway 101 in Del Norte County from Post Miles R2.6 to 23.8. The project proposes rehabilitating Class I pavement, installing new and replacing High Friction Surface Treatment, replacing existing rumble strip, placing shoulder backing, replacing AC dike, upgrade existing metal beam guardrail to Midwest Guardrail System (MGS), raising existing MGS to standard height, upgrading transitions to current standards, extending rail lengths to meet standards, replacing worn sign panels, upgrading Traffic Management System facilities, use of vegetation control, increase southbound shoulder and reduce lane with at PM 21.25 to 23.52.
