Document Description
The Starlight Solar Project (Project) consists of a Major Use Permit on approximately 565 acres. The Project includes a 100 MW solar facility and a 200 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) that would be constructed in two phases. The typical height of the photovoltaic (PV) modules would be approximately 7 -12 feet. The Project includes fencing of up to 7 feet in height total along the entire facility boundary. The site is subject to Regional Category Rural and Semi-Rural, Land Use Designation Rural Lands (RL-40) and Semi-Rural Residential (SR-10). Zoning for the site is General Rural (S92). The project site is located south of Interstate 8 (I-8) and Old Highway 80, and east of Tierra Del Sol Road. Access to the project site would be provided by Jewel Valley Road and Tule Jim Lane, which each connect to Old Highway 80 in the town of Boulevard.
