Document Description
The purpose of the Project is to restore and enhance 11 acres of floodplain at the subject property on the Truckee River in Truckee, California. The project will address fundamental issues stemming from historical land uses at a heavily degraded site. The Project will create a 0.5 acre inset floodplain bench; reengage 2,500 feet of previously altered high-flow channels; stabilize high-flow channels at the location of return to the Truckee River; remove of 3,500 feet of road and 0.75 acres of parking lot; and create a 3,300 square foot stormwater infiltration basin at a former borrow site.
