Document Description
The proposed project involves the clearing of ruderal grasses & eight (8) walnut trees within the proposed clearing limits (or project area), earthmoving, & the installation and maintenance of erosion control measures in connection with the development of 0.96 gross acres (0.68 net acres) of new vineyard on the 6.1-acre parcel, removal of 0.39 acres of vineyard located within the Sarco Creek setback, and legalization of 0.29 acres of vineyard planted without ECPA on slopes exceeding 5%. The project would result in a total of 2.04 acres of vineyard (1.08 acres of which is already existing). Typical slopes within the project area range from 2-15%, with no slopes over 30%. The project would include the removal of 0.96 acres of ruderal grasses & eight (8) walnut trees. The parcel is located within the RC zoning district and not the AW & as such it is not subject to the 70% retention requirement and the 3:1 tree preservation ratio required per Section 18.108 of the Napa County Zoning Code. The project proposes to retain approximately all of the existing oak woodland on site and is proposing to replace the eight (8) walnut trees with 12 live oak and 12 black oak trees
