Document Description
The project consists of construction of a new, multi-parcel, one hundred and thirty-two (132) foot long pier and the enhancement of native fish spawning habitat on Lake Tahoe. The first ninety-nine (99) feet of the pier will be eight (8) feet wide with a thirty three (33) foot long by ten (10) foot wide pier head. The pier head will be flanked by two (2) adjustable catwalks each at three (3) feet in. The project is limited to the
following activities: 1) Driving eighteen (18) ten and three quarter (10 ¾) inch diameter steel pilings to support the pier; 2) Driving six (6) four-inch by four-inch (4X4) inch steel pilings and two (2) two and one half in diameter steel pilings to support the catwalks; 3) Fish habitat enhancement within the general area of the new pier will be carried out through the placement of twenty (20) square foot of graded, six (6) to
eight (8) inch cobble pyramid over a gravel substrate. All coble and rock will be clean washed and similar in size and nature to native rock present on site. All equipment access to the site will be from Lake Tahoe by means of amphibious vehicle or using barge mounted equipment, including a barge mounted pile driver
