Document Description
The project consists of replacement of an existing, failing sheet pile wall to prevent shoreline degradation with a new sheet pile wall and is limited to the following activities: 1) Placement of a new sheet pile wall immediately lakeward of the existing wall using a barge mounted vibrating hammer pile driver. 2) Removal of the existing, failing, sheet pile wall once the new wall has been installed. All equipment and supplies will be brought to the site and stored on a barge or using an amphibious vehicle entering the water at the Tahoe Keys Marina. The sheet pilings will be driven using a vibrating hammer mounted on equipment on the barge, all removed sheet pilings and other debris from the project will be removed from the site via the barge. Crew access will be via the landward side of the project site with access to the barge via a small pier.
