Document Description
The Sierra Nevada Conservancy would provide funding for the Pit River Tribe to conduct outreach to and collaboration with tribal communities and other stakeholders to 1) assess the range of forest health and fire resilience-related activities and projects of interest to the Pit River Tribe, 2) out of those projects, identify those which are of the highest priority, and 3) develop funding strategies for select high-priority activities. Tasks conducted under this project would include meetings, individual conversations, and possibly field visits. The purpose is to identify and prioritize projects that will improve watershed function and resilience, water quality supply and reliability, forest carbon stores, wildlife habitat, and climate adaptation.
