Document Description
For Acquisition via a direct deed of 80-acre of an undeveloped 100-acre parcel, APN 150-110-05, to be included into Montgomery Woods State Park. The property consists of a large rock outcropping that is partially covered with vegetation consisting of coniferous and hardwood trees with an understory of brush and shrubs that are typical of the North Coast. The property also contains a ~15-acre stand of old
growth Douglas fir and potential peregrine nesting habitat. Acquisition of the park will support publicly owned land that safeguard coastal redwoods, wildlife habitat, cultural and natural resources, and provide recreational opportunities for the park.
