Document Description
DWR SJFD staff will be widening the crane set up area located at Wheeler Ridge headworks. To do this, they will use a backhoe to cut back part of the dirt bank. A dump truck and loader will be used to move material to and from the base pile site near Buena Vista Pumping Plant. A grader will be used to flatten surfaces. A water truck will be used to aid in compaction and to control dust. K-rail will be placed at the base of the slope once dirt is removed. The work is estimated to last 4 to 5 days. All work will take place within DWR right-of-way. This work is necessary to accommodate a larger crane for removing and inserting stop logs.
