UC Davis proposes to relocate the Benign Hematology Group from the Midtown Clinic to existing space at the C Street Cannery Business Park. The relocation will include the renovation and reconfiguration of approximately 1,700 gsf in the existing C Street location. The renovation work will construct five patient facing rooms, including four exam rooms and a telehealth room, office space and patient waiting area. The building is a leased property and is not within a campus LRDP.

The renovation existing space qualifies as categorically exempt under Exemption Class 1 of the Guidelines for the Implementation to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). This exemption applies to the operation, repair, permitting, leasing, maintenance or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities or mechanical equipment, involving negligible or no expansion of an existing use. In addition, none of the exceptions for application of a categorical exemption apply to this project.
