Document Description
San Joaquin Field Division (SJFD) plans to use rodenticide to control ground squirrels. To do this they will place modified PVC “T” bait stations at San Joaquin O&M (SJOM), Lost Hills O&M (LHOM), at five pumping plants (POPP, BLPP, DEPP, WRPP, and WGPP), and at check site 23. They plan to fill bait stations with .005% diphacinone ground squirrel bait (Ditrac or Kaput brand), as recommended by a Pest Control Advisor. All bait stations will be left out throughout the year but feeding activity will only take place in late spring to early summer. This work is needed to control ground squirrel populations, who are damaging State Water Project property.
